The CQE exam — officially the Certified Quality EngineerExam — is ASQ's certification exam for professionals who work with its technologies, and passing it awards the ASQ Certification certification at the Professional level. Vendor-issued credentials like this one remain among the clearest signals of skill a resume can carry. It also connects naturally to CMQ/OE (Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence), CQA (Certified Quality Auditor), CSSBB (Certified Six Sigma Black Belt), CSQE (Certified Software Quality Engineer), CSQP (Certified Supplier Quality Professional) as a next step.

Yes — TestKingFree offers a free PDF demo of the CQE practice questions so you can inspect the question quality and verified answers before paying anything. Once you purchase, 365 days of free updates are included, and if the product expires, the update service renews at a 50% discount from your member zone.

Passing the CQE exam requires 550/750, and the official registration fee is $550 USD. That fee buys a single attempt — a retake is charged at full price again. The smart sequence is to rehearse first: cycle through 175 practice questions at TestKingFree under timed conditions until your scores clear the passing mark with margin, then book.

The ASQ Certified Quality EngineerExam blueprint comprises 6 domains, led by Management and Leadership (15%), Product, Process, and Service Design (23%), and Continuous Improvement (10%). The complete weighted syllabus is in the section above — accurate preparation starts with knowing exactly what the exam weights most.

Eight years of full-time paid work experience in one or more areas of the CQE Body of Knowledge. Three years must be in a decision-making position. Education waivers are available: Technical/Trade School (1 year), Associate Degree (2 years), Bachelor's Degree (4 years), Master's/Doctorate (5 years).

Vendor criteria evolve, so before you schedule anything, verify the latest requirements on the official ASQ exam page.
